Tree of Life at To The Rescue Museum in Roanoke Honors 911 EMS Personnel

Tree of Life Roanoake Virginia
A “Tree of Life” in Roanoke, Virginia, honors EMS personnel lost across the country. It is part of the 3,000 foot “To The Rescue” museum in teh Tanglewood Mall. The memorial and museum are probably not as fully developed as some would like but it is still quite moving and has visitors from all over the country.

Salem, Virginia, 911 Memorial Includes 36-Foot Girders

Old Virginia Brick 911 Memorial in Salem, Virginia
Old Virginia Brick’s 9/11 flagpole memorialin Salem is built using 36-foot steel girders from between the 33rd and 36th floors of Tower One. The flagpole is topped with a 24-carat gold-plated eagle. Both the flagpole’s pedestal and the plaza were built using Old Virginia Brick.
