Utica’s Mohawk Valley 9/11 Park to Honor First Responders
Monday, April 11th, 2005The Mohawk Valley 9/11 Park is to include granite monoliths representing the World Trade Center and bronze statues depicting rescue efforts following the attacks. It is scheduled to be dedicated in 2006 and will stress honoring first responders. It is designed by artist Joseph Carrado of Rome and will be in Proctor Park, off Culver Avenue, Hazard said. The group hopes to raise $1 million for the project.
