Malone 911 Memorial Built as Eagle Scout Project

Alex Garneau, a high school senior from Malone, designed the village’s 911 memorial as part of his Eagle Scount project.

Garneau started working on the project in January. He raised more than $6,000 and received help with the design from a local architect. The memorial is a 3-D replica of the World Trade Center towers was dedicated in November 2005.

    Alex,
How lucky we are in the town of Malone to have such a wonderful
    911 Memorial.
It’s great that it’s on the website to share with everyone.
Your hard work beginning with the concept of the memorial and seeing it thru to completion is something you can to be very proud of.
As a young man and an Eagle Scout you are an inspiration to others.
    I’m so proud of you.
    Ruth
