Lincoln Park 911 Memorial
The Lincoln Park 9/11 Memorial was dedicated on April 20, 2002. It is located on Comly Road across the street from the Lincoln Park train station.
Inscription on plaque:
“We shall never forget our friendsand neighbors
Who rode with us that morning
But did not return with us that night.
May this tree serve as a Living Memorial
To all those who perished
In the tragic attack on
The World Trade Center.
Forget not, those friends who at one time lived in Lincoln Park,
and are never to return.”
Note: There are multiple communities in New Jersey called Lincoln Park. This is the Borough of Lincoln Park in Morris County.
Other New Jersey communities with 911 Memorials at or near train stations include Bernards, Glen Ridge, Glen Rock, Jersey City, Metuchen, Middletown, Montclair, Park Ridge and Westfield.
