Old Bridge 911 Memorial
The Old Bridge 911 Memorial is located at the Municipal Complex - One Old Bridge Plaza.
The centerpiece of this memorial are two 7 foot granite towers. Two tablets in front of the towers have an outline of the New York City skyline. Inscribed on the tablets:
“The morning of September 11, 2001, will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. The tragic and horrific attack on our Country took the lives of many innocent loved ones. This memorial is dedicated to the twelve Old Bridge residents and all those who lost their lives on that day. May their legacy be to inspire us to work together as a community towards a better future.”
Twelve small black granite blocks form a circle around the towers and tablets, each with the name of a local victim of the terrorist attacks. The surrounding garden area is shaped like a pair of hands embracing the monument.
