Mychal Judge 911 Memorial Peace Park in Keshcarrigan, Ireland

A 911 memorial honoring Chaplain Mychal Judge, who administered last rites at the World Trade Center, before becoming a victim who became an icon of the events, is on the shore of Keshcarrigan Lake in Ireland near his boyhood home.

Judge had visited the farm the year before he died.

An effort is being made to canonize him as a saint.

The memorial consists of a gray stone bench facing the lake. Inscribed in the stone was a smiling likeness of Judge along with a prayer he had composed.

“Lord, take me where you want me to go …” it begins.
