Old Tappan Memorial at Twin Oakes Park

Old Tappan in Bergen County has started construction of the 4-acre Twin Oakes Park which will include a 911 Memorial.

The park is named for Pete Oakes who owned the property and scheduled for completion in August 2005. The memorial will have to trees to represent a fallen tower and will have dirt from ground zero. There will also be a memorial boulder with an American flag and the inscription: “We will never forget. Fragments from World Trade Center are buried here.”
