911 Living Memorial at Sherwood Point

Connecticut’s 911 Memorial is a black cherry tree at Sherwood Point in Sherwood Island State Park and is one of the first completed memorials. It was dedicated on September 5, 2002, and commemorates the 149 Connecticut residents.

    I have reflected for several years about the action of United Flight 93 on 911. I am firmly convinced that this flight didi the right thing and has saved many many lives in the Washington DC area.
