We have always maintained that if anybody had faith in the current master plan for downtown then the developer who is taking the financial risks should be given a free hand to build whatever he wanted at Ground Zero — even the world’s tallest parking garage.

A review by the Daily News of exhibits at the Drawing Center which is slated to part of the controversial Freedom Center complex at Ground Zero shows several very political exhibits including artistic depictions of Abu Ghraib torture and a conspiracy chart linking George Bush to Osama Bin Laden.

In the face of rising opposition to Ground Zero, LMDC is quietly moving up plans to finalize Memorial plans by mid-July according to The New York Times. Given the opposition and new found interest in Michael Arad this could signal the end of the Freedom Center.
