    To Whom It May Concern,

I represent Richard Sean Manning, a philanthropist and artist who works with upwards of 5 tons of clay per year, much of which he donates to worthy causes.

Sean has recently crafted two major works of ceramic art that have just been fired for 10 days in an ancient Anagama kiln which produced heat up to 2,500 °F (1400 °C).

Wood ash settled on the pieces during the firing, and the complex interaction between flame, ash, and the minerals of the clay body formed a natural ash glaze. This glaze produced a variation in color, texture, and thickness, ranging from smooth and glossy to rough and sharp. One can only imagine the flames path as it rushed through the kiln, and painted these pieces with fire.

After seeing his completed work it became obvious that this work can only belong as a memorial to commemorate 9/11.

He wants to gift and install these ‘twin towers’ to an appropriately honorable resting place to help in the healing process.

Sean has studied with the great Masters of the clay world and some would say that this prodigy will one day also be known as a Master.

He is a partner in The St Pete Clay Company, in St Petersburg, Florida, which is also home to the Morean Arts, presently installing a major Chihuli exhibition.

Sean recently co-founded Vessels for Charity Foundation to raise money through the sale of ceramic art crafted by students. The aim is to raise money for charities to fund humanitarian aid as well as fund clay art supplies within schools across the country and a VFC scholarship fund.

He is donating a major work of art to each University that sets up a Vessels for Charity Clay Club.

I would like to speak with you at your earliest convenience for your guidance on where you think the most appropriate place would be to install this important work of art.

    Respectfully yours,

    LaUra
